Indications for use
The acute phase of ischemic stroke (in the complex therapy), a recovery period of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, head – brain injury, cognitive and motor disorders in degenerative and vascular diseases of the brain.
Method of administration and dosage
R – p for i / v, i / m introduction. The intravenous route of administration is preferable to the intramuscular route. IV slowly over 3-5 minutes, depending on the prescribed dose, or drip 40-60 drops per minute.
Acute phase of ischemic stroke and cranio – brain injury: 1000 mg / m every 12 hours for 3-5 days after the first diagnosis. Further, if the swallowing function is not impaired, it is possible to switch to oral forms of the drug. The duration of treatment is at least 6 weeks.
The recovery period of ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, the recovery period head – brain injury, cognitive and behavioral disorders in degenerative and vascular diseases of the brain: 500-2000 mg per day.
With intramuscular administration, repeated administration of the drug in the same place should be avoided.
R – p for oral administration. Before use, the drug is diluted in a small amount of water (120 ml or 0.5 cups). It is taken with meals or between meals.
Acute phase of ischemic stroke and cranio – brain injury : 1000 mg (10 ml, or 1 packet) every 12 h duration of treatment. – at least 6 weeks.
The recovery period of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, traumatic recovery period – cerebral trauma, cognitive and behavioral disorders in vascular and degenerative brain diseases: 500-2000 mg per day (5.10 ml, or 1 sachet (1000 mg) 1-2 times day).
Side effects
Severe headache, dizziness, hallucinations, arterial hypertension, arterial hypotension, tachycardia, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, hyperemia, exanthema, urticaria, purpura, pruritus, angioedema, anaphylactic shock, changes in the place of administration, chills.
Contraindications
Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, severe vagotonia, rare hereditary diseases associated with fructose intolerance, age up to 18 years.
Overdose
Overdose cases are not described, even if the therapeutic doses are exceeded.
