It has antimicrobial and antidiarrheal effects. Increases the local immune defense of the body, has an antitoxic effect, especially against toxins Clostridium difficile .

Indications for use

Acute bacterial and viral diarrhea in children and adults, irritable bowel syndrome, prevention of diarrhea. Prevention and treatment of colitis and diarrhea when taking antibiotics, as well as pseudomembranous colitis and recurrent diseases caused by Clostridium difficile .

Dosage and administration

For children up to 1 year old – 0.5 sachets 2 times a day, for children from 1 to 10 years old – 1 sachet 2 times a day, for children over 10 years old and adults – 1-2 capsules or sachet 2 times a day. The course of treatment: with acute diarrhea – 3-5 days, with dysbiosis and chronic diarrhea syndrome – 10-14 days.        

Prevention and treatment of antibiotic – associated diarrhea and pseudomembranous colitis: in combination with antibiotics at a dose of 2 capsules or 2 sachets per day from the first day of antibiotic use. 

Capsules are washed down with water. The contents of the bag are bred with milk or water. 

Side effects

Rarely is the risk of fungemia in hospitalized patients with a central venous catheter. 

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
