pharmachologic effect

It has both a local effect in the gastrointestinal tract and a central effect on the secretory and motor functions of the stomach. 

Indications for use

Functional dyspepsia, flatulence, gastritis; as part of the complex treatment of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer. 

Dosage and administration

In the absence of other prescriptions, for children aged 7–12 years   , take 7–12 drops, respectively (1 drop per year of life), dissolved in a small amount of liquid, 3 times a day with meals; adults and children aged 12 years and older – 20-30 drops, dissolved in a small amount of liquid, 3 times a day with meals.  

In severe and acute conditions, adults take 15–25 drops every 30 minutes for 1 hour. Treatment duration is 3-4 weeks. If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated after 2 months.   

Side effects

In extremely rare cases, patients with high photosensitivity of the skin may experience skin reactions like a sunburn, developing under the influence of intense solar radiation. Allergic reactions, reactions from the gastrointestinal tract are possible.

Contraindications

A history of bleeding from the pelvic organs, anemia, epilepsy, hypertension, cholelithiasis, liver disease, CNS disease, alcoholism, hypersensitivity to any – any of the ingredients of the drug, allergic reactions to the plant family of the Asteraceae , during pregnancy and lactation, children up to 7 years. 

Overdose

Sensation of bitterness in the mouth, discomfort in the liver.
