Nootropic agent with tranquilizing, psychostimulating, antiplatelet and antioxidant effects. Improves the functional state of the brain by normalizing tissue metabolism and affecting cerebral circulation.

It helps to reduce or eliminate feelings of anxiety, tension, anxiety, fear, and normalizes sleep. Improves psychological performance.

Indications for use

Decreased intellectual and emotional activity, impaired memory, decreased concentration. Increased fatigue, anxiety, fear, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, psychopathy; in children – stuttering, urinary incontinence, tics; in the elderly – insomnia, night anxiety.    

Method of administration and dosage

Inside before meals. The course of treatment is 4-6 weeks.

Adults are prescribed 250-500 mg 3 times a day. If necessary, the daily dose is increased to 2.5 g.    

Children under the age of 8 are prescribed 50-100 mg 3 times a day, 8-14 years old – 250 mg 3 times a day.      

Higher single doses: children under 8 years old – 150 mg, 8-14 years old – 300 mg, for adults – 750 mg, for people over 60 years old – 500 mg.            

To relieve alcohol withdrawal symptoms in the first days of treatment, 250-500 mg are prescribed 3 times during the day and 750 mg at night, with a gradual decrease in the daily dose to the usual for adults.    

Side effects

Drowsiness, nausea, irritability, agitation, anxiety, dizziness, headache.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, during pregnancy and lactation.

Overdose

In the clinical picture of an overdose, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting predominate, hypotension and renal failure may develop.

In case of poisoning, gastric lavage is performed, activated charcoal is prescribed, supportive and symptomatic therapy is carried out.
