pharmachologic effect

It has an antiseptic effect, causes hyperemia of the nasal mucosa, stimulates the processes of granulation and epithelization of tissues.

Indications for use

Inflammatory diseases of the nasal mucosa and nasopharynx. Also prescribed after surgery in the nasal cavity. In the form of inhalation – in inflammatory processes of the upper respiratory tract. 

Dosage and administration

Drops. Adults instill 2-3 drops of the drug into each nasal passage every hour, then – at longer intervals. For inhalation using inhalation devices, add 2 ml of the drug in 1 liter of hot water, inhalation is carried out 2 times a day. For children over the age of 2 years , 1-2 drops of the drug are instilled 3-4 times a day.  

Cream, ointment. Assign to children from 1 year .

A small amount of cream or ointment (a column approximately 0.5 cm long ) is applied 3-4 times a day to the front of the nasal mucosa. Hygiene cotton buds can be used to administer the drug. The cream is used for 5-7 days, and the ointment – 7-14 days.  

Side effects

In isolated cases, itching, burning, hyperemia or swelling of the nasal mucosa is possible.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug or inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity of an allergic genesis, age up to 1 year.

Overdose

When applied topically excluded. In children under the age of 2 years with non-compliance with the method of application, bronchospasm is noted. Therapy is symptomatic.
