pharmachologic effect

It has a pronounced bronchodilator , antibacterial and secretolytic effect. Helps reduce sputum viscosity, stimulate sputum excretion from the respiratory tract, facilitate breathing, and reduce cough.

Indications for use

Diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract, which are accompanied by a cough with difficulty removing sputum.

Dosage and administration

Pastilles. Pastilles are intended for resorption. The lozenge should be kept in the mouth until completely dissolved. Do not swallow lozenges. Adults and children over 4 years: 1 lozenge every 3-4 hours. 

Syrup. The syrup should be taken undiluted. If necessary, the syrup can be diluted in a glass of warm tea or drinking water. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor.

Children from 1 year to 4 years: 5 ml of syrup every 3-4 hours. Children 4-12 years: 7.5 ml of syrup every 3-4 hours. Adolescents and adults: 15 ml of syrup every 3-4 hours.      

Drops are oral. The drug is intended for oral administration. The required number of drops immediately before administration should be dissolved in a small amount of liquid. Take after eating. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor.

Children from 4 to 12 years: 10 drops of the drug every 4-6 hours. Adults and adolescents: 20 drops of the drug every 4-6 hours.  

The maximum number of doses of the drug is 5 times a day.  

Side effects

The development of nausea, as well as allergic reactions, including anaphylactic shock and angioedema.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the components of the drug. Oral drops and lozenges: severe gastrointestinal diseases, age up to 4 years. Syrup: age up to 1 year.

During pregnancy and lactation, the drug can be prescribed only under the close supervision of the attending physician.

Overdose

Symptoms Vomiting, nausea, tachycardia and myasthenia gravis, development of diarrhea and intoxication symptoms.
