pharmachologic effect
The drug stimulates the mobility of the upper part of the gastro – intestinal tract. Mosaprid (active ingredient) promotes gastric emptying, enhances the motility of the stomach and duodenum, but no effect on the motility of the lower gastrointestinal – intestinal tract. The drug has an antiemetic effect. It also prevents the release of gastric juice into the esophagus during reflux – esophagitis.
Indications for use
Belching, digestive disorders associated with diseases of the gastroduodenal zone.
Method of administration and dosage
For adults and children over 12 years old – 5 mg 3 times a day before or after meals. The tablet dissolves easily in the mouth. The maximum daily dose is 40 mg. The course of treatment is 4 weeks.
Side effects
Rarely – diarrhea, dry mouth, general weakness.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug. Gastro – intestinal bleeding, obstruction and stomach ruptures.
