pharmachologic effect
Strengthens gastrointestinal motility, has an antiemetic effect.
Indications for use
Relief of gastro – intestinal symptoms of functional non-ulcer dyspepsia (chronic gastritis), namely: bloating; feeling of quick satiety; pain and discomfort in the upper abdomen; anorexia; heartburn; nausea; vomiting.
Method of administration and dosage
Adults are prescribed orally 1 tablet of the drug 50 mg 3 times a day before meals. The recommended daily dose is 150 mg. The indicated dose can be reduced.
Side effects
Allergic reactions, dizziness, headache, tremors, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, increased salivation, nausea, jaundice.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to itopride ; During pregnancy and breastfeeding; conditions in which an increase in the contractile activity of the gastrointestinal tract can be harmful.
Overdose
Overdose cases in humans have not been described.
