Vividrin: composition, indications, dosage, side effects.

Vividrin is an antiallergic drug whose action helps prevent asthmatic reactions, both delayed and immediate, after inhaling non-antigenic irritants and allergens, as well as preventing the release of inflammatory mediators (heparin, histamine, bradykinin, serotonin and others).

Release form, composition
The drug Vividrin in the form of a spray for nasal use, produced in the form of a solution. The active substance, which is sodium cromoglycate 20 mg (in 1 ml of solution).

The active substance in 1 ml of the drug in the form of eye drops is: cromoglyceic acid (disodium salt) 20 mg.

Packing: spray – bottle 15 ml (100 doses) with a spray in a carton box; eye drops – dropper bottle 10 ml in a box.

Indications for use
The drug Vividrin is prescribed and used for the prevention and treatment of: allergic conjunctivitis (drops), year-round, seasonal, allergic rhinitis (spray).

Contraindications
hypersensitivity;

children’s age up to 5 years (for spray) and 4 years (for drops);

nasal polyps;

renal and hepatic failure.

Period of pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnant and lactating women the possibility of using the drug determines the attending physician, comparing the ratio of benefits and possible risks. In the first trimester of pregnancy, the drug is contraindicated.

Mode of application
The drug Viddrin in the form of a spray is applied one dose to each nasal passage 4 times a day, if necessary, the frequency of application is increased, but not more than 6 injections per day.

In the form of eye drops, the drug is used in a dose of 1-2 drops 4 times a day, at regular intervals. The maximum daily dose of up to 8 applications.

Vividrin is intended for prophylaxis or long-term therapy, therefore, after reducing the symptoms of the disease, treatment should be continued until the patient is exposed to allergens (food allergens, house dust, pollen, fungi spores). Overdose
A significant excess of the recommended doses may cause increased side effects. In case of overdose, symptomatic treatment is applied.

Adverse reactions
The use of the drug can lead to the development of side effects, such as: unpleasant taste, nausea, hypotension, vomiting, dysphagia, headache, ulceration of the mucous membrane, dizziness, conjunctival swelling, burning eyes, barley.

Disorders of the respiratory system are also possible (mild dry throat, irritation of the nasal mucosa, nasal bleeding, difficulty breathing, cough, hoarseness).

Storage conditions
