pharmachologic effect
It has a local effect on the respiratory tract, relaxes the smooth muscles of the bronchi and blood vessels and counteracts the development of bronchospastic reactions.
Indications for use
Allergic and non-allergic BA; exercise-induced asthma and chronic obstructive bronchitis with and without emphysema.
Dosage and administration
20 drops = 1 ml. 1 ml contains 250 μg of anhydrous ipratropium bromide and 500 μg of phenoterol hydrobromide. The dose should be selected individually. During treatment, patients should be under medical supervision.
For use, the recommended dose must be diluted with a physiological solution to a final volume of 3-4 ml. Ready-to-use solution should be used immediately after preparation.
Side effects
Mental disorders are manifested in increased excitability, hyperactive behavior, sleep disorders and hallucinations. This is noted mainly in children under the age of 12 years.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to fenoterol hydrobromide, atropine-like substances or other components of the drug, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, tachyarrhythmia.
Overdose
Symptoms Hot flashes, mild dizziness, headache, tachycardia, rapid heart rate, arrhythmia, hypotension or even shock, hypertension, anxiety, chest pain, agitation, possible arrythmia and a strong tremor in the fingers, as well as throughout the body, hyperglycemia, nausea and vomiting
