pharmachologic effect

It has a bronchodilating effect, increases the respiratory rate and increases tidal volume, increases the activity of the ciliated epithelium of the bronchi.

Indications for use

Acute asthmatic attacks, chronic obstructive bronchitis and other conditions with reversible narrowing of the airways, pulmonary emphysema.

Dosage and administration

An attack of bronchial asthma: 1 dose of inhalation. If breathing is relieved slightly after 5 minutes, you can take the 2nd dose of inhalation. Maximum daily dose: 8 inhalations. If the attack is not removed in this case, the patient should immediately seek medical help.

Prevention of asthma induced by physical activity : 1-2 doses at a time.

Other conditions with reversible narrowing of the airways : 1-2 doses at a time.

Side effects

Skeletal muscle tremor, nervousness, dizziness, headache, palpitations, coughing, nausea, vomiting, sweating, weakness and muscle cramps, decreased blood pressure, increased systolic blood pressure, arrhythmia, hypokalemia, hyperglycemia.

Contraindications

Severe atherosclerosis, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, tachyrhythmia, pregnancy (I trimester) and breastfeeding.

Increased individual sensitivity to any component of the drug.

Use with caution in case of hyperthyroidism, arterial hypertension, intestinal atony, hypokalemia, diabetes mellitus, recent myocardial infarction, decompensated diseases of the cardiovascular system, pheochromocytoma.                      

Overdose

Symptoms . Tachycardia, palpitations, arterial hyper- or hypotension, chest pain, arrhythmias, flushing, tremors, pulse pressure increases.

Treatment. Prescription of sedatives, tranquilizers, symptomatic therapy.
