It has a pronounced anticoagulant effect, prevents the formation of blood clots, weakens the inflammatory reaction, and has a decongestant effect.

Indications for use

Varicose veins, phlebothrombosis, thrombophlebitis, superficial periphlebitis , phlebitis after intravenous injections, thrombosis of hemorrhoidal veins, postoperative varicose phlebitis, complications after removal of the great saphenous vein, injuries, bruises, aseptic infiltrates, local limited edema, subcutaneous hematomas, muscle injuries , tendons and joints.

Dosage and administration

Applied externally and only for adults . The drug is applied in a thin layer, gently rubbing into the affected areas of the skin (0.5–1 g per area 3–5 cm in size) 2–3 times a day. A strip of gel 1 cm long corresponds to 0.4–0.6 g of the drug with a tube outlet diameter of 3–4 mm. Depending on the nature of the disease, the course of treatment is 1-3 weeks.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible. If adverse reactions occur, the drug should be discontinued.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug and its components, violation of the integrity of the skin, reduced blood clotting, thrombocytopenia, bleeding, ulcerative ‑necrotic processes in the area of thrombophlebitis; childhood.

Overdose

If the recommended dosing regimen is observed, overdose is unlikely. When used on large areas of the skin, hemorrhagic complications in the form of bleeding may develop.

In case of slight bleeding, the dose should be reduced or the drug should be temporarily discontinued. In case of severe bleeding, 1% ‑protamine sulfate is slowly injected intravenously.
