pharmachologic effect
It has pronounced local antirheumatic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties due to inhibition of the synthesis of prostaglandins – mediators of pain and inflammation.
Indications for use
Symptomatic treatment for pain, inflammation and swelling with: damage to soft tissues, such as injuries of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints, sports injuries; localized forms of rheumatic diseases of soft tissues (tendonitis, bursitis, “shoulder -brush” syndrome and periarthropathy); localized forms of degenerative rheumatism.
Dosage and administration
In adults and children over the age of 12 years, Diklak gel is used 2-3 times a day. The amount of drug used depends on the size of the affected area (for example, 2–4 g of gel is enough to apply to a 400–800 cm² area).
Side effects
Allergic reactions, redness, peeling of the skin.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac or other NSAIDs, isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol or other components of the drug. A history of asthma attacks, urticaria, or acute rhinitis, nasal polyps, angioedema, especially in patients with hypersensitivity to all types of analgesics and antirheumatic drugs. III trimester of pregnancy.
Overdose
Due to the low systemic absorption of diclofenac, intoxication after topical application is unlikely.
