The drug has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects.
Indications for use
The drug is used to eliminate pain and reduce the intensity of the inflammatory process in patients with lumbago, shoulder-shoulder periarthritis, rheumatic diseases of soft tissues; for the relief of toothache and as a means of symptomatic therapy in patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
Dosage and administration
The drug is intended for oral use. It is recommended to swallow the tablet whole, without chewing or crushing, with a small amount of drinking water. The duration of the course of treatment and the dose of the drug is determined by the attending physician individually for each patient.
Adults are usually prescribed 1 tablet 2 times a day.
Side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stool disturbance, epigastric pain, digestive disorders, spasm of the smooth muscle layer of the intestine, decreased appetite and increased activity of liver enzymes; headache, dizziness, impaired sleep and wakefulness, increased irritability, decreased memory, tremor of the extremities, cramps, emotional lability. In isolated cases, the development of aseptic meningitis was noted. Allergic reactions.
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ulcerative lesions of the mucous membranes of the gastro – intestinal tract in a period of exacerbation, gastro – intestinal bleeding or suspected gastro – intestinal bleeding, liver and / or kidneys, impaired hematopoiesis and blood clotting, period of pregnancy and lactation, children’s age up to 18 years.
The drug is not used in the period after coronary artery bypass grafting, as well as for the treatment of patients with hyperkalemia.
Overdose
Symptoms Headache, dizziness, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and hyperventilation with increased convulsive readiness.
