pharmachologic effect

Expectorant.

It dilutes the viscous bronchial secretion and promotes its outflow, improves the function of external respiration. Cough suppresses slightly.

Indications for use

Acute and chronic respiratory diseases that occur with the formation of a viscous secret secret: bronchitis, asthma, chronic obstructive bronchitis, sinusitis, pneumonia, bronchiectasis.

Dosage and administration

Tablets. Adults: in the first 2-3 days, take 1 tablet with a small amount of water 3 times a day, then 1 tablet 2 times a day, in the morning and in the afternoon with meals, but not in the evening. Children 5-12 years: 0.5 tablets 2-3 times a day. 

Retard capsules . Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 capsule daily in the morning after meals.

Effervescent tablets. Take in the same way, having previously dissolved in 0.5 cups of water at room temperature.

Solution for oral administration. Dose with a graduated cup: adults in the first 1-3 days – 4 ml 3 times a day, then 4 ml 2 times a day or 2 ml 3 times a day; children under the age of 2 years – 1 ml 2 times a day, 2–5 years – 1 ml 3 times a day, 5-12 years – 2 ml 2 times a day.          

Syrup. For adults, in the first 2-3 days – 10 ml 3 times a day, then 10 ml 2 times a day or 5 ml 3 times a day. Children under the age of 2 years are prescribed 2 ml 2 times a day, 2-5 years – 2.5 ml 2 times a day, 5-12 years – 5 ml 2-3 times a day.         

Take in the morning and afternoon with meals with a little water; do not use the drug in the evening.

Side effects

Hypersensitivity reactions, weakness, headache, gastralgia , a feeling of fullness in the stomach, nausea, vomiting, and digestive disorders are rarely observed .

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to one of the components of the drug, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, hyperacidity, I trimester of pregnancy.
