pharmachologic effect

It has an expectorant, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory ( corticosteroid-like ) effect.

Indications for use

In complex therapy for bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, bronchiectasis.

Dosage and administration

Applied inside after eating 3-4 times a day, drinking plenty of fluids (tea or warm water). Children from 1 year to 3 years: 2.5 ml per reception; 4–6 years: 2.5–5 ml per dose; 7–9 years: 5–7.5 ml per dose; 10-12 years: 7.5-10 ml per reception; adults and children over 12 years of age: 15 ml of syrup per reception. The duration of treatment is determined individually for each patient.     

Side effects

Rash, itching, flushing of the skin and swelling, disturbance of the water – electrolyte balance, development of hypokalemia ; in some cases, an increase in blood pressure, hypokalemic myopathy and myoglobinuria are possible . 

Contraindications

Diabetes mellitus, individual hypersensitivity to the drug, impaired liver and kidney function, hypokalemia , hypertension, severe obesity, pregnancy and lactation, children under 1 year old.

Overdose

Symptoms Increased severity of side effects.

The treatment is symptomatic.
