pharmachologic effect

Laxative and carminative. Strengthens the secretion of mucus in the large intestine, dilutes its contents and normalizes the act of defecation.

Indications for use

Chronic constipation of various origins. Bloating. Before operations and diagnostic tests.

Method of administration and dosage

Adults are   recommended to take 1-3 pills or tablets at night. When preparing for an operation or a diagnostic study, take 2-4 tablets the night before. Children 2-7 years old   are given 1 tablet or tablet per day for 2-10 days, then 1 tablet or tablet within 2 days after the intestinal function is restored. Dragee is swallowed without chewing, and washed down with water.

Side effects

There are spasms of the gastro – intestinal tract, diarrhea, skin rashes. With prolonged use of suppositories, prostatitis may develop.

Contraindications

Acute inflammatory diseases and varicose veins of the rectum, hemorrhoids, intestinal obstruction, individual drug intolerance.

Overdose

The patient may be at risk of significant loss of water and electrolytes due to diarrhea. Treatment is symptomatic.
