pharmachologic effect
It has an expectorant, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and partially antimicrobial effect.
Indications for use
Inflammatory diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract, including acute and chronic bronchitis, accompanied by sputum formation and cough.
Dosage and administration
Inside, after a meal.
Drops: children aged 6-11 years – 25 drops 4 times a day; 12-18 years – 28 drops 4 times a day; adults – 40 drops 4 times a day. The course of treatment is 10-14 days.
Syrup: children from 3 to 12 months – 10-16 drops 3 times a day; older than 1 year – 17 drops (with the addition of 3 drops for each additional year of life) 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 10-14 days.
It is recommended to drink undiluted syrup with water.
Tablets can be used to treat children over 12 years old and adults . The daily dose is 3 tablets. One – time – 1.
Side effects
Cramping, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, skin rashes, itching, allergic dermatitis, urticaria, angioedema.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, hereditary fructose intolerance, a successful history of alcohol treatment or alcoholism. In the form of tablets should not be taken by patients with hereditary galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or impaired glucose absorption – galactose.
Overdose
Simtomy . In case of an overdose, stomach upsets, vomiting and diarrhea are possible.
