Etol Fort

Pharmachologic effect

It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic properties.

Indications for use

Etol Fort for emergency or long-term treatment of osteo – arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis. Pain syndrome of any etiology.

Dosage and administration

Adults: The recommended daily dose of Etol Fort is 400–1200 mg. The maximum daily dose is 1200 mg. The drug is taken 2 times a day, 1 tablet in the morning and evening after a meal. If necessary, the dose can be increased to 3 tablets per day.   

Rheumatic disorders treatment depends on the effect – Nosta therapy and nature of the disease. Given a long course of treatment, the dose must be adjusted every 2-3 weeks.

In the treatment of painful inflammatory conditions due to acute processes (e.g., toothache, myositis, tendinitis) and posleopera – tional pain syndromes course of treatment was 5 days.

In case of headache and menstrual pain, Etol Fort is prescribed 1-2 tablets per day if necessary, but not more than 3 days.

Side effects

Abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, dyspepsia, flatulence, bleeding / perforation, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, vomiting blood, glossitis, ulcers (zhelud – ka / duodenal ulcers) with or without bleeding and / or perforation, gastritis, melena, thirst, dry mouth, ulcerative stomatitis, anorexia, belching, increased activity of liver enzymes, cholestatic hepatitis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, especially during exacerbation, cytopenia, pregnancy and lactation, childhood, asthma, urticaria, rhinitis or other allergic reactions that are provoked by NSAIDs.

Contraindicated to eliminate pain during coronary artery bypass grafting.

Overdose

Symptoms . Nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, ulcers, as – ludochno – intestinal bleeding, hypernatremia, hyperkalemia, hyper – serum creatinine, increased blood pressure (BP), allergic interstitial nephritis, jaundice, hepatitis, bronchospasm, acute renal failure, respiratory depression. With an overdose, anaphylactic reactions are possible.
