The drug has a prophylactic neuroprotective effect in focal cerebral stroke. Promotes rapid functional rehabilitation of patients with acute cerebrovascular accidents, reducing ischemic damage to brain tissue.

Indications for use

Acute phase of cerebrovascular accidents, treatment for complications and consequences of cerebrovascular accidents. Cranio – cerebral trauma and its consequences. Neurological disorders caused by cerebral pathology of degenerative and vascular origin.

Method of administration and dosage

The drug is taken orally, regardless of food intake. The recommended dose for adults is from 500 mg (5 ml) to 2000 mg (20 ml) per day, which is divided into 2-3 doses. The drug, pre-mixed with a small amount of water, is taken using a measuring cup. Doses of the drug and the period of treatment depend on the severity of the brain damage and are set by the doctor.      

Side effects

Hallucinations, severe headache, dizziness, decreased blood pressure, hypotension, tachycardia, respiratory failure, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, allergic reactions are possible.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; increased tone of the parasympathetic nervous system.

Overdose

Overdose cases are not described.
