Indications for use
Dissolution rentgennegativnyh cholesterol gallstones less than 15 mm in diameter in patients with a functioning gallbladder, despite the presence of a gall ( – s) of stone ( – s); treatment of gastritis with bile reflux; symptomatic treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis in the absence of decompensated liver cirrhosis.
Dosage and administration
There are no age restrictions.
The drug is used inside patients with a body weight of more than 47 kg. For patients who have a body weight of less than 47 kg or who have difficulty swallowing capsules, a suspension is used. The drug is taken 1 time a day in the evening before bedtime at a dose of ≈ 10 mg / kg body weight. Capsules should be swallowed whole, washed down with a small amount of liquid.
The duration of treatment is usually 6-24 months. If size reduction of gallstones is not observed after 12 months, drug therapy should be discontinued.
Side effects
Stool- like consistency or diarrhea, in the treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis – abdominal pain with localization in the right hypochondrium.
Hypersensitivity reactions (rash, itching, urticaria).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Acute gallbladder inflammation. Acute inflammation or obstruction of the bile ducts. Cirrhosis of the liver in the stage of decompensation.
Overdose
Symptoms . Diarrhea. Other symptoms of an overdose are unlikely, since the absorption of ursodeoxycholic acid decreases with increasing dose, and therefore a larger amount is excreted with feces.
