Analogs

Tafen nasal, Nazofan, Flixonase, Nazonex, Nazonex Sinus, Avamis, Polydex with phenylephrine, Bactroban, Isofra.

pharmachologic effect

It has anti-inflammatory, decongestant and anti-allergic properties.

Indications for use

For the treatment and prevention of pollinosis: allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis.

Dosage and administration

Beconase is used for intranasal use.

Used in the pediatric age group after 6 years and adults : 1 dose in each half of the nasal cavity – 3-4 – multiple instillations a day, or 2 doses (injection) in each half of the nasal cavity – 2 – multiple instillations per day (400 mcg) .   

The therapeutic effect is observed 5-7 days after the first nasal instillation.

Side effects

Burning and dryness of the nasal mucosa, sneezing, nosebleeds, recurrence of herpes infection, skin rash or urticaria.

Contraindications

Beconase is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to beclomethasone.

Overdose

Symptoms . Oppression of the hypothalamic – pituitary – adrenal regulation.

Treatment. Specific treatment for overdose is not required, correction of therapeutic doses of the drug is carried out.
