pharmachologic effect

It has anti-allergic, glucocorticoid, anti-inflammatory local effects.

Indications for use

Severe and moderate bronchial asthma in adults and children from 1 year of age and older (basic anti-inflammatory therapy), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in adults.

Dosage and administration

Inhalation , after inhalation, rinse your mouth with water.

Bronchial asthma

Children from 1 year to 4 years : 100 mcg 2 times a day (only in the form of an aerosol for inhalation with a dosage of 50 mcg of fluticasone per dose).  

Children over 4 years : 50–100 mcg 2 times a day (only in the form of an aerosol for inhalation, with a dosage of 50 mcg of fluticasone per dose).  

Adults and adolescents over 16 years of age : mild form of asthma – 100-250 mcg, medium form – 250-500 mcg, severe form – 500-1000 mcg.      

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Adults : 500 mcg 2 times a day. 

Side effects

Oral candidiasis, hoarseness, paradoxical bronchospasm (requires discontinuation of the drug and continued therapy with other drugs); decreased adrenal cortex function , violation of bone mineralization, growth retardation in children, glaucoma, cataracts, increased intraocular pressure, sleep disturbance, a sense of groundless anxiety; rarely , skin rash, angioedema, violation of the frequency and depth of breathing, bronchospasm, anaphylactic reactions. 

Contraindications

Individual intolerance, acute bronchospasm, asthmatic status, non- asthmatic bronchitis , age up to 1 year. With caution, the drug is prescribed for cirrhosis, glaucoma, hypothyroidism, systemic bacterial, fungal, parasitic, viral infections, diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, pulmonary tuberculosis, pregnancy and lactation.

Overdose

Symptoms   Decreased adrenal cortex function or suppression of adrenal cortex function .
