pharmachologic effect

NSAIDs with a pronounced analgesic effect (comparable in analgesic activity to morphine).

Indications for use

Short-term use in moderate to severe pain syndrome (mainly in the postoperative period).

Dosage and administration

Enter deeply and slowly in oil . Once a patient under the age of 65 is administered in a dose of 10-60 mg, over 65 years old or in patients with impaired renal function – 10-30 mg. If necessary, repeated administration to patients under 65 years of age is administered 10-30 mg every 4-6 hours, for people over 65 years old or to patients with impaired renal function – 10-15 mg every 4-6 hours. The maximum duration of parenteral administration is 2 days.         

Inside , a dose of 10 mg is prescribed every 4-6 hours. With severe pain, the dose can be increased to 20 mg 3-4 times a day. The duration of treatment is no more than 5 days.    

Side effects

Dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, stomatitis, flatulence, peptic ulcers, gastro – intestinal bleeding, intestinal perforation, purpura, thrombocytopenia, peripheral edema, urticaria, maculopapular rash.

Contraindications

During pregnancy, childbirth, breast-feeding, age up to 16 years, peptic and duodenal ulcers, gastro – intestinal bleeding or perforation of the bowel in the history of severely impaired renal function, the risk of renal failure, hypersensitivity to ketorolac or other NSAIDs, severe failure cerebral circulation, nasal polyposis, angioedema, bronchospasm, AD, risk of bleeding or incomplete hemostasis. Use with caution in patients with heart failure and hypertension, hypocoagulation.

Overdose

Symptoms Decreased activity, diarrhea, pallor of the skin, difficulty breathing, vomiting.
