pharmachologic effect

Laxative. The onset of the effect is 5–20 minutes after administration. 

Indications for use

Constipation, preparation for endoscopic examination of the lower colon.

Method of administration and dosage

Rectally at a dose of 0.12 g. If necessary, the rectal administration of the gel can be repeated. 

Side effects

A burning sensation in the rectum, congestion in the rectum (with prolonged use).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug, hemorrhoids in the acute phase, anal fissures, hemorrhagic proctitis, hemorrhagic colitis.
