pharmachologic effect

A laxative that acts primarily on the large intestine. Causes irritation of the receptors of the intestinal mucosa and a reflex increase in peristalsis, leading to rapid bowel emptying. The laxative effect occurs within 8-10 hours.  

Indications for use

Constipation due to hypotension and sluggish peristalsis of the colon. Regulation of bowel movements for hemorrhoids, proctitis, anal fissures. The drug is used for constipation of various etiologies.

Method of administration and dosage

Inside before meals, 1 tablet (preferably at night). In the absence of effect, the dose is increased to 2-3 tablets per dose, until the stool is normalized.

Side effects

Flatulence, colic-type stomach pains, diarrhea.

Contraindications

Intestinal obstruction, abdominal pain of unknown origin, disorders of water – electrolyte metabolism, incarcerated hernia, acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal cavity, peritonitis, bleeding from the gastro – intestinal tract, uterine bleeding, cystitis. Hypersensitivity to drug components.
