pharmachologic effect

It has pronounced antirheumatic, antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Inhibits platelet aggregation.

Indications for use

Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the joints and spine; rheumatic diseases of the periarticular soft tissues; acute gouty arthritis; post-traumatic and postoperative pain and inflammation; symptomatic treatment of non-rheumatic inflammatory conditions that are accompanied by pain.

Method of administration and dosage

Pills.   The dose of the drug is determined individually. The duration of the course should not exceed 3 weeks.

Recommended doses for adults and adolescents from 15 years old – 1 tablet per day (50-150 mg) in 1-3 doses. The maximum daily dose of the drug is 150 mg. The tablets should be taken after meals without chewing and drinking plenty of fluids. In acute conditions or exacerbations of chronic processes, adults are prescribed intramuscularly at a dose of 75 mg 1 time per day, and in some cases, administration is allowed 2 times a day.       

Further therapy is continued by using an oral or rectal dosage form. In this case, the maximum daily dose (150 mg) should not be exceeded . 

Gel.   Apply a thin layer to the affected area 3-4 times a day. It is recommended to revise the indications for continuation of treatment after 2 weeks.

Side effects

Pain in the epigastric region, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, dyspepsia, bloating, anorexia; rarely – gastro – intestinal bleeding, stomach ulcers and bowel; skin rashes. In isolated cases, cases of dyspnea and exacerbation of asthma were reported. 

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug, violations of blood, peptic or duodenal ulcer, III trimester of pregnancy, lactation, age under 15 years, gastro – intestinal bleeding history, as well as liver and kidney disease, asthma, urticaria, acute rhinitis and other allergic reactions caused by taking NSAIDs. 

Overdose

There is no typical clinical picture characteristic of drug overdose.
